Discover the Ad Tech Platform SIMULATORS, powered by Lens Academy.
It shows you how Advertising Technology Platforms really work. You learn with agnostic platforms, Lens Academy does not have technology partners, it is created by professionals.
WHY THE AD TECH SIMULATOR?
As you know, the digital media industry – and please do consider also TV, Radio, Digital out of home besides mobile and web – has many technologies used to optimize and automate processes of buying and selling media.
Knowing how to use them all is likely impossible, that’s the reason why we’ve created benchmarks of existing technologies, brought to you to let you understand the logic and know how platforms work in their very basic principles.
Simulator: Ad Server for publisher
DEFINITION: an Ad Server is a web server dedicated to the delivery of advertisement. This specialization enables the tracking and management of advertising related metrics.
You will learn the Ad serving, the delivery of online adverts to an end user’s computer by an ad management system. The system allows different online adverts to be served in order to target different audience groups and can serve adverts across multiple sites. Ad Technology providers each have their own proprietary models for this.
Simulator: Data Management Platform (DMP)
DEFINITION: a DMP collects, analyize and distribute data and information for serving better targeted ads to the audience.
You will learn how to manage data, Data Management Platforms allow advertisers, agencies, publishers and others to control their own first-party audience and campaign data, compare it to third-party audience data, and give the ability to make smarter media buying and campaign planning decisions via behavioral targeting or extending audiences via lookalike modeling. Advertisers and agencies generally utilize DMPs in order to buy more effectively while publishers typically utilize DMPs in order to segment their audiences and sell more effectively.
Simulator: Demand Side Platform (DSP)
DEFINITION: a DSP is an advertising technology platform which allows marketers to manage their online media campaigns by facilitating the buying of auction-based display media and audience data across multiple inventory and data suppliers in a centralized management platform. Who Uses: Agencies, Marketers and even Publishers.
You will learn how to manage a programmatic campaign. As a Programmatic Specialist, you need to be updated on how campaigns are traffiked into the DSP. With the DSP Simulator, you will be able to test your skills of optimization of a programmatic campaign and how to build a PMP (private market place). Bear in mind that even you are a sales person, you will need to know the very basis of a DSP technology, that’s the reason why we have different modules of training according to the level of the learners.
Simulator: Sell Side Platform (SSP)
DEFINITION: a sell side platform (SSP), also called sell side optimizer, inventory aggregator, and yield optimizer. It is a technology platform that provides outsourced media selling and ad network management services for publishers. A sell side platform business model resembles that of an ad network in that it aggregates ad impression inventory. However, a sell side platform serves publishers exclusively, and does not provide services for advertisers. The inventory managed by the SSP is usually purchased by aggregated buyers, either Demand Side Platforms (DSPs) or Ad Networks.
You will learn how to manage and get the maximum yield out of the inventory. As a Programmatic Specialist, you need to be updated on how inventory of any media owner or publisher can be managed with efficiency. With the SSP Simulator, you will be able to test your skills of optimization and yield management for a programmatic/premium inventory and how to set a PMP (private market place). Bear in mind that even you are a sales person, you will need to know the very basis of a SSP technology, that’s the reason why we have different modules of training according to the level of the learners.
